Sweet Jam x Don’t Be Alarm’d Clock
Round 2 of Canteen’s Sweet Jam dropped a couple of weeks back. This time the challenge was a clock design. From the get-go, I had a vision of creating an object that reduced the stress associated with the construct of time. Socially, we are governed by time, which is stupid. Just check the variations of time reflected by your microwave oven, dvd player, watch, etc, etc. Why stress when time isn’t exact by any means.
I wanted to flip the script and create a time piece that when observed, helps people become more relaxed about the present moment. Meet the Don’t Be Alarm’d Clock. Six o’clock is now “It’s cool baby“. 12 o’clock is now “No one is dying“. You get the drift. Check out the results, first prototype came out a solid ok, but needs some refinement.
